The short cuts functionality within Freestyle provides the ability to create an alternative URL for any page on your website. This is particularly useful for directing users to a specific page using a simple URL, regardless of how 'deep' within the website hierarchy the page is. For example, a short cut can be created with the following URL www.yourcompany.com/johnsmith, which in actual fact refers to www.yourcompany.com/page/aboutus/people/johnsmith. The short cut URL can be referenced in a direct mail campaign, and when an interested individual enters the simple address, they are taken to the relevant page on your site. The following screenshot displays the interface used to create and edit a short cut in Freestyle.
