Affinity stands apart from its competitors in that is tightly
integrated with an in-built file server. All documents that are submitted as
part of the sales process or in managing investor relations, including
proposals, contracts, reports, brochures and costing sheets are directly
accessible from inside Affinity. The documents are available against the client
company, and can be accessed either through the web-based Affinity interface,
or through a special interface that behaves the same way as a mapped network
drive, but is actually residing on the web-server.
The following screenshot shows the listing of documents against a client.
Folder structures can be created against the prospect to ensure that documents
are organised in a logical manner for reference by staff. The basic document
management functions are available with the base licence of Affinity, including
locking documents while editing, editing documents from the server and saving
them back without needing to store local copies, and the management of files
stored in the system.
All documents that are uploaded into Affinity are fully text
searchable.
