Throughout Australia, Councils are charged with the responsibility for assessing and granting or denying a range of applications from residents, businesses and other organisations.
In their role as a consent authority, governments must apply relevant laws and locally determined policies and guidelines, balancing the pressures of speedy assessment and certainty against community expectations of thoroughness.
Through a combination of Affinity, Gravity and Engage, Internetrix has developed a government specific framework for accepting, tracking and managing the sometimes complex - and often pressured - process of assessing application. Through this unique approach, Internetrix provides an online application tracking system (OLAT) for the whole application lifecycle – from initial application lodging through to eventual consent or denial.
As the entire process involves the customer, a common application administration interface keeps all parties on the same page. Customers can also log in at any time to see how their application is progressing. At key milestone points, customers also receive email or SMS messages informing them of their application’s progress, thus delivering exceptional service compared to the traditional experience.
One of the leading examples of our OLAT framework is the eDA, an online Development Application (DA) tool. Initially implemented at Shellharbour Council, and now in place at a number organisations within Local and State Government, the eDA is an easy to use, flexible and collaborative application which increases efficiency, transparency and reduces the costs and effort associated with submitting and processing applications.
