Name: Daniel Rowan
Position Title: General Manager - Interactive
How long have you been with Internetrix?
Since 2002.
What does your current role involve?
My current responsibilities revolve around sales, account and project management, administration, marketing, overseeing our ongoing efforts towards productisation and dealing with any of the surprises that arise across the company on any given day.
How has your role changed since your earlier days at Internetrix?
When I first started at Internetrix it was just Geoff, Mike, myself and one other former employee. We all sat at the end of a shared office in a four man cube setup. The weakness in the business at that time was a lack of dedicated project management and general management. It was a true start-up with everything on the go and little formality to any of it.
Times have changed. In 2002 we were a fledgling company trying to make a go of it, in 2003 we started to get brand awareness and traction in the Illawarra, in 2004 we started closing deals in the Sydney market, in 2005 we progressed to exhibiting at international trade shows in Hong Kong, and this year has seen somewhat of a tipping point as our six core products now all have key implementations and published case studies proving proof of concept and clear return on investment indicators. With this development and growth in the company, there has been enormous change for all of us involved.
