Name: Ashley Jonceski

Position Title: Interactive Designer

How long have you been with Internetrix?
About 8 months, give or take a few weeks.

What does your current role involve?
My current role involves the design and creation of interactive web and flash content, focused primarily on the design rather than technical side as that is the area where my training and experience mostly lies.

What originally drew you to Internetrix?
Funnily enough I hadn’t actually heard of Internetrix before applying for the job. I was in another job that I really wanted to get out of, so I was out looking. A lecturer from uni mentioned there was a position going here, so I applied.

What’s been your most memorable experience at Internetrix so far?
Probably being thrown into the deep end right from my first day. Internetrix had a booth at CeBit 2006 but no new promotional material or signage to put on display. It fell to me to create all the promotional material for the event—and I only had about two weeks to do it! Considering I’d only just started working here Geoff put an enormous amount of trust in my abilities. Luckily I was able to get it done in time and prove him correct in hiring me.

What’s the best part of being a member of the Internetrix team?
Definitely the people I work with. Sure we all get on each others nerves, especially when it comes to music choice, but generally everyone is great to work with. Also being a younger company and team means there is an openness to new ideas and methods, which is great in my role as a graphic designer. Plus we have a lot of fun.

What are you looking forward to most in the future at Internetrix?
First answer: a pay rise. Second answer: the opportunity to work on bigger and better projects for bigger and better clients. Plus being part of a growing company while its small means my I have the opportunity to help contribute to its growth and set standards for the future.
