As soon as I first saw an iPod Nano, I kicked myself for not holding out on buying my first iPod a little longer. What seven months ago seemed like the bees-knees, already my shiny green and personally engraved iPod Mini seems archaic.
My Mini still works fine and until a couple days ago, I was happy with it. While scouring the blog world looking for innovative gadgets, I stumbled upon one of the funniest things that once again made me curse myself for not holding out for a Nano. Ok, not really. But at the risk of embarrassing myself by being intrigued by its cuteness, I stumbled upon this:
The Nano kitty.
Not that I’d really ever buy one—I’ve never been into cutesy girlie things—I love the fact someone actually makes this four legged Nano cover with eye sockets for the hold button and a rear-end hole for plugging in the headphones.
So where did I find this wonder of gadgetry? Popgadget (http://www.popgadget.net/), the “personal tech + innovative lifestyle for women”. In addition to the Nano cat, the blog has loads of other fun and even helpful gadgets for the ladies.
How about the Bratz Liptunes MP3 Player where it lets you carry your lipstick and MP3 player in one? Or special earphone charms? Or what about the cooking stove with voice navigation? Perhaps you would like a slightly more helpful gadget, Garmin’s pocket-sized Nuvi GPS. It’s small enough that you can use it in your car and then pop it into your handbag without it weighing you down. How convincing.
Before visiting Popgadget, be forewarned. Don’t take it too seriously and it’s leaning towards being, well, a bit stereotypical with its choice of gadgets for women. I mean how many women do you know who need a cosmetics fridge?
But for all it’s worth, it’s good for a laugh, and maybe, just maybe, you’ll find that silly little gadget you’ve always wanted.
