Southern Councils Group choosed Nucleus

The Southern Councils Group (SCG) is a voluntary association of seven Local councils (Bega Valley, Eurobodalla, Kiama, Shellharbour, Shoalhaven, Wingecarribee, and Wollongong). The SCG is charged with fostering collaboration between the councils. The Southern Councils Group has deployed Internetrix Nucleus to help members of various committees across the councils to share information, collaborate on projects, and track communications more efficiently.

Copyright Changes - FTA Pain Begins

A November 22 article by Ross Gittins, Economics Editor for the Sydney Morning Herald painted a disturbing picture of regret regarding the US-Australia Free Trade Agreement. The thrust of his article is that the FTA sold out a lot of Australian Intellectual Property interests through the agreement to harmonise our Copyright and other IP laws with those in the US/>/>.

Welcome Tim Lawson - Solutions Architect

This month, we're excited to welcome our newest recruit - Tim Lawson as a Solutions Architect. Tim is a recent graduate from the University of Wollongong, earning a Bachelor of Computer Science (minor in International Studies). Tim excelled in the e-business and commercially focused areas of his study, and gained extensive experience as a student, developing an extensive database system which managed an annual event with more than 4500 participants.

E-Commerce for SME's

e-Commerce means many different things to many different people. To some people, it is all about selling products online, and means shopping carts, ordering and distribution of things like books, CDs and other products. To other people, it is as simple as using email to interact with customers, suppliers and associates. It is little surprise, then, that many Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are confused about e-commerce, and with more than 80% of businesses being connected to the internet, it is little surprise that only a VERY SMALL NUMBER are even practicing basic e-commerce.
